  • Anand Bhawan

  • Tirthraj Prayag

    Tirthraj Prayag is the place where Ganga, Yamuna, and Saraswati meet on a confluence. It is presumed that getting a dip in the confluence is a pious deed. Keeping this thought in mind every year thounsands of pilgrims take a dip in this confluence. The Fort of Akbar: was founded by Mughal Emperor Akbar on the bank of Yamuna in 1575 A.D. for the purpose of defense and business. According to one of the opinion the fort was founded by the Emperor Ashoka and renovated by Akbar. It is witnessed by Akshaya Vat, a Banyan tree, which remains even after annihilation. The fort can be visited after taking permission but the visitors are not allowed to see Akshaya Vat from the point of view of its security.

    Kaushambi : is an important Buddhist seat Lord Buddha stayed here during 6th and 9th year after getting knowledge of salvation. Many items of archeological importance were found here, which have been placed in the Museum of Allahabad. This place is also important for the followers of Jainism. This is the birth place of VI Tirthankara Padmprabhu. Lord Mahaveer also spent some time here in meditation. The nearest places worth visiting are Old fort, the pillar of Asoka, and some Jain Temples. Besides, Alwara Lake, Daranagar, Kara, PrabhasaGiri are also histroc important. The nearest RLY station, Bharwari is 15 km. By road Fatehpur (75km), Kanpur (150km) Varanasi (185km) and Sarnath (190km) away from here. There are some Jain Inns and P.W.D. guest houses available for boarding.
